Sweet Land of Liberty!

Independence day was spent in Georgia with Uncle Ed and Aunt Esther's family. We went to Stone Mountain to watch the awesome laser show and firworks. It was amazing! On the side of the mountain they have carved the generals of the civil war.
The gang playing make a million.

We had to get to Stone mountain early to save a spot for the fireworks show. Brooke, Sam, Kyrie and myself chilled out for a little under the umberella to escape the sun and have some girl time.

Kyrie and Daddy watching fireworks. Kyrie loved them!

Oh what a beautiful day!

Today was a beautiful day! 85 degrees with the sun shining!
This morning
Kyrie decided she wanted to help out in the kitchen so she pulled up the stepping stool and made her way over to the counter.
Uh-Oh she got caught!
We purchased our first lawn mower!

Kyrie was even excited about the lawn mower. She kept getting lost
in the jungle of grass.

Kyrie was just a big helper today, first it was in the kitchen, and now in the front yard.
She even helped dad put the lawn mower together!
Yeah, she's got special talents. I got to mow the front yard. Good times! It brought back
wonderful memories of Cougar Court apartments and mowing
that huge lawn!Brian mowed the back yard with Kyrie cheering him on
from the kitchen window.

Kyrie's room is almost complete. All it's lacking now is the chair rail molding to seperate the green and the pale yellow. I'm excited to have it completely finished!

GoodByes.....

Today I said goodbye to our apartment for the last time, as I went to close the door I looked over my shoulder to revisit the wonderful year that we experienced @3200 Silver Springs DR #78. As I looked back, I could see my girls patiently waiting on the couch for me to get home from a long day, little Kyrie running and juming into my arms to get her kiss before we wrestled, and Natalie doing her crafts and cooking awesome food. The brief look back over my shoulder wasn't enough. I slowly turned and rewalked through the entire apt, each room, and opening each closet to be sure that I recalled all that I could before I said goodbye for ever. I will never forget the hall that I played hide-&-go-seek in for the first time with my little angle, or the wall that she so desperatly clung to as she took her first steps, or the table that Natlaie & I would sit at to celebrate our very inexpenceive Annaversery and Valintines day... And many other like recolections....

After a slow walk though I leaned against the wall in the front room in "MY SPOT" (where I had all 9 surround sound speakers pointed) to express my thanks to my Heavenly Father, with tears in my eyes, I thanked Him for the best and most blessed year of my life. I then, out loud sang "Time of your Life" by Green Day (this was ok because my neighbors already know Im nuts...). It was was another hard goodbye
for me as there have been others. On my way home I thought of a other "things" and "places" that I associate good memories with and, just to name a few... Our old Mini-van, Lucky...(for those of you to young... our family dog), and the big tree swing and ET's landing @ grandma and grandpa Bob's home. Remembering these things help me to reflet on the blessings and happiness that I have enjoyed through the years.... I know that each of you have "things" or "places" that you associate happy times with that you have sence said goodbye to, maybe the car that your parents taught you to drive in, or the car that you wrecked, or the chair that you shared a special talk in with a parent or child, or anything that you treasure as a special time... Perhaps you might share those with all of us,,,, perhaps we might share some in common. Take a minute and read the lyrics below and just reflect on what "things" or "places" might have been around when you have created good memories....One last one for me... "Calling BacWic... Calling BacWic..." (ask mom & dad about that one...)

Loves and Happy BBQing

Another turning point;a fork stuck in the road.
Time grabs you by the wrist;directs you where to go.
So make the best of this testand don't ask why.
It's not a questionbut a lesson learned in time.
It's something unpredictablebut in the end it's right.
I hope you had the time of your life.
So take the photographsand still frames in your mind.
Hang it on a shelfIn good health and good time.
Tattos of memoriesand dead skin on trial.
For what it's worth,it was worth all the while.
It's something unpredictablebut in the end it's right.
I hope you had the time of your life.
It's something unpredictablebut in the end it's right.
I hope you had the time of your life.
It's something unpredictablebut in the end it's right.
I hope you had the time of your life.

The Ride of my Life....

Dear Family and friends....

I took the ride of my life this afternoon as I experienced for the first time "Nitrous" (laughing gas). Nitrous oxide is a mild sedative used for light sedation in the dental clinic usually prior to giving local anesthetic. The purpose of this post is not to share a science lesson but to share with you the awesome time that I had.

To share something personal with y'all, I have never in my life tasted or used any type of drugs or alcohol so to experience the effects of a sedative substance on my central nervous system was a bit nerve racking.

The session started with a light little nose piece placed on my face with a 6 liter/min flow of 100% O2 followed by a 50% mix of N2O & O2. After about 3 minutes my head began to feel light and my fingers tingled. My arms felt heavy and my body was totally relaxed... I had never felt such peace and comfort in my life......... I felt like I was on that psychedelic ride in "Charley and the Chocolate Factory". At that point, I could have delivered a baby or had my leg amputated and probably wouldn't have cared much. After about 15 minutes of this I had enough wits about me to say that was enough and they brought me back to 100% O2 until I blew off the residual nitrous. All in all it was a crazy ride. I could never figure out why Dad got the laughing gas for a routine teeth cleaning when I was younger, ?, but I sure understand now.....

OK, so in the church we don't do drugs or drink, and I know now why... (probably pretty addictive), but, in a professional and medical setting, I will probably be a benefactor of its amazing sedative powers...

So next time you head to the dentist for a routine cleaning or a tooth restoration or extraction, be sure to ask for the gas to help sooth and calm your fears...

That's all for now.... Happy lives and happy BBQing.....

Warning::: If your are pregnant, think you are pregnant, or planning on impregnating, you should avoid exposure to Nitrous Oxide...

Additional notes: "It is much less toxic than alternatives, such as chloroform, with far less risk of explosion than ether. The main use for N2O is usually as a mild sedative and analgesic. It helps to allay anxiety that many patients may have toward dental treatment, and it offers some degree of painkilling ability."

"Put on your sunday clothes and have your picture took." (Hello Dolly)

Of course Kyrie feels as good as she looks!

It's Sunday and Kyrie's looking good! It's one of our last Sunday's before moving into our house, hence the piles of boxes everywhere. This Sunday Kyrie donned a blue dress from Gymboree that Natalie got for over 75% off. Yeah, I rock!
When I grow up I want to be a dentist just like my daddy! The scrubs are just a little to baggy, but whatever!
